Until recently, I had never tried any products from Eau Thermale Avène , however, had only heard good things. A few months ago I got a bunch of products and have been delayed in telling you all about them because they seriously are just everything French skincare is all about. When asked to describe the brand in three words they say: Quality, Efficacy and Safety. So for all you ladies who battle with sensitivity, redness and irritation – listen up!
This video encapsulates the story of Eau Thermale Avene if you are unfamiliar with the brand:
Avène pride themselves on the use of the famous Avène Thermal Spring Water which has unique soothing and anti-irritating properties found during many scientific studies. The brand is all based on this spring water that works wonders for sensitive, irritable skin types (and non-sensitive too).
The three products that stood out to me were the Avène Thermal Spring Water (their best seller) which retails at R149.95 for 150ml’s. This is a hydrating and soothing facial spray that can be used under or over make up to add extra hydration and soothe irritated skin. The mist is fine and beautiful and leaves skin looking radiant and fresh.
I also just adore their Soothing Moisture Mask (R249.95) which I have been keeping on throughout the night – it sinks into the skin beautifully and leaves dry, irritable skin calm and hydrated in the morning. It truly is so calming and so amazing for redness relief. I actually popped some of this on my nieces dry cheeks and she is 9 months old! That’s how soothing it is!
Lastly, their Cold Cream Hand Cream (R99.95) is lovely. It’s non-greasy and with the cold cream benefits it works wonders on dry hands – I also saw great results on my cuticle area which I’ve been battling with this winter.
Avène products are available at selected Clicks stores and the prices start at R99 with an average price of R250 – so affordable for such a beautiful brand. You can ‘like Avene SA on Facebook too for news and updates.
