I am sure you all remember my Ultimate Spoils giveaway, where one of the prizes was a Nicole Martine beach tote? Well today I want to tell you more about this brand, as I have since got one of their totes and two of their make-up bags and I am a tad obsessed! I love everything about the Neoprene beachware range she offers, especially the fact that it’s local (and their online store launched yesterday – yay!)

Nicole Martine, the owner of Nicole Martine Beachware, answered a few questions for KBT:

Why beachwear and how did Nicole Martine Beachwear come about?

I absolutely love swimwear and beachwear and have been obsessed from a young age! My love for travel has taken me to tropical destinations and island getaways and this combined with my love for all things beach has provided me with the inspiration and desire to create my own Beachwear Brand – Nicole Martine!

There are a lot of beautiful swimwear and beachwear brands across the world, however not enough proudly South African beachwear brands. There was definitely a demand for locally produced products inspired by the natural beauty of the country, which we could all be proud of as a nation. Having South Africa and its beaches as one of the world’s top tourist destinations, every visitor should return home with a beautiful locally produced beachwear product to remember the fond memories made on their holiday.

What is your favourite item in the range (tough question, we know!)?

That is a tough question! If I had to choose my favourite item out of the collection, it would be the Cuban Neoprene Tote. I have a very classic personal style, so the Cuban Tote goes with all of my outfits! I also am a tote kind of girl, I often carry my laptop, makeup bag and all my things around with me… so it’s perfect for an everyday bag & I often even use it for my afternoon yoga classes.

What would we find in your Nicole Martine make up bag?

I love the ‘sun kissed look’ from a day on the beach, but strongly believe this must be enhanced by makeup and not the sun! I do carry a few essentials with me in my makeup bag, as you never know when you need to touch up! 🙂

Chanel Foundation & Primer

It’s hard to always match your skin tone to your foundation, I find Chanel’s range amazing match to my skin and the primer brightens and evens a dull completion on the go!

Below is a pic of my tote, The Cuban, that I literally use every single day to heated yoga – so handy with my damp clothes (gross, I know). I also know that this bag will be accompanying me on all beach missions throughout summer! The totes come in a variety of colour variations which is a bad thing for me as I want them all now!

The make up bags are fast becoming a travel favourite for me as they are so easily washable (unlike my usual Country Road one’s) so no stresses about foundation spills. I also love how the Neoprene is stretchy so means you can stuff it full with all your favourites! These make up bags also come in a variety of colours.
