Introducing GUCCI BLOOM ACQUA DI FIORI

Oh, Gucci. You seriously know the way to any girls heart! Their latest fragrance launch follows the original Gucci Bloom (which you all know I adore, see post here), and is everything fresh, unique and uplifting you could want in a scent and more. Not to mention the packaging – Instagram DREAMS.

THE SCENT

Right, so let’s talk about the scent as I know many of you will ask how it differs from the original Bloom. Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Fiori is blended by Gucci’s master perfumer, Alberto Morillas, and doesn’t stray too far from the iconic notes we saw in the original. However, this version sees additions of green Galbanum and dainty Cassis buds as the top notes. The heart features Gucci Bloom’s Jasmine buds, Rangoon Creeper and Tuberose (loads of beautiful feminine florals that me me fall in love with the original), and the sensual base of musk and sandalwood conveys warmth and depth, adding that masculine, woody edge that I adore. This scent embodies everything green, fresh and summery. On first sniff, I thought of nothing, but the Amalfi Coast in Italy – sophisticated, classy yet relaxed and summery. It’s so easy wearing and when I wore it this past weekend, I had a lunch of 6 girls around for lunch, who all asking about the scent I was wearing. We all ended up spritzing it on and there wasn’t one girl that didn’t fall for the scent, which I thought was quite interesting.

THE BOTTLE

The bottle sits beautifully next to my original and I’m so happy they didn’t stray too far as this bottle is one that will not leave my bathroom counter! The box is a busy, whimsical floral print made up of the plants that make up this beautiful scent. These same illustrations carry through onto the fragrance label, which is perfection against the signature dusty pink ceramic bottle. It’s clean, sophisticated and embodies everything the scent is about.

This scent is going to be one that I will speak of in time to come, as it’s such an easy gift-worthy scent. Something different and unique, yet also one that I feel would pretty much suit all ages and tastes. The ultimate spoil for Mother’s Day or a wedding scent. It’s subtle, yet makes a statement.
