Dove #ChooseBeautiful Giveaway
Today’s giveaway is one that is close to my heart – it’s about us women and what makes us feel beautiful, on the inside and out.
This clip below is from Dove’s latest #ChooseBeautiful campaign where women around the world were given the choice to either walk through the ‘average’ door or the ‘beautiful’ door and, as you can imagine, most of them opted for the ‘average’ door. Have a look: Beauty is a strange one, especially in the world us women live in where superficial beauty is shoved in our faces all the time; from browsing Pinterest to scrolling through Instagram – we see unbelievably beautiful women all around the world all day long. Beautiful on the outside, that is. Something which can easily effect one’s self confidence – it certainly does mine! I think we are all to blame for constantly comparing ourselves to one another and in doing so, feel less adequate, less beautiful and find ourselves putting way too much pressure on ourselves. I saw the below quote ages ago and it always sticks in my mind as I too am to blame for this.
