Mavala’s new nail treats

I am a tad late on this post, but the Christmas spirit got me this year and I got completely carried away. MAVALA have brought out their Show Time collection which is the perfect festive season nail set. As with all glittery nail polishes they are terrible to remove but nothing a bit of patience and nail polish remover can’t do. The actual polishes come in six different colours; purple, gold, silver, red, blue and copper/bronze. I am not much of a colour glitter kinda gal (just a personal preference), I prefer the silvers and golds over my normal nail colours. The polishes are quite sparse when it comes to actual glitter pieces so you definitely need two coats which I don’t need with my Deborah Lipmann version (but that does cost R280 so I would expect it to be fab). These retail at R59.95 each so much more reasonable.

I also received the latest Oil-Seal Dryer which I am so chuffed with; wet nails are always a problem for me so this is a lifesaver and really does work. Your nails aren’t going to be bone-dry (that will never be the case) but they will be dry enough to carefully reach for your car keys or slip into clothes. Simply paint over wet nails (after 30 secs). In true beauty blogger style I actually used my gold and silver poilishes to paint on my plain brown gift cards for Christmas, quite cute I thought 🙂
