SOME FAVOURITES THAT I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF

Moving cities has meant that there has been a lot of living pretty minimally whilst my belongings are all in boxes. This meant that I packed some absolute favourites that I knew would see me through these 2 months, whilst still keeping things minimal.  I have to say, I have pretty much not swayed from these over the past two months and have been totally happy with my selection. I guess the one thing it has made me realise is that I have WAY TOO MANY beauty products, but we all know this. Here’s what I can’t get enough of:

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush – First Love I tried this when I was in the UK in December and absolutely adored it, so my sister bought it for me for Christmas. I have not stopped using it since! The shade is absolute perfection; a dusty mauve that is seriously subtle. It reminds my a lot of my Hourglass Blush in Mood Exposure (which I adore), but this one may just trump it. I also recommended it to Camilla from All Dolled Up, who mentioned it in her latest favourites video. Camilla and I tend to love similar shades of blush, and she’s a big fan too. Link from Cult Beauty. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer – Luminous Bronze Light This was a recommendation to be from Camilla (we talk Beauty all day, can you tell?!). I am a die-hard Hourglass fan, but have always loved their Ambient Lighting Powders and Blushers the most. That was until I tried this bronzer – the shade, the texture, the way it applies (I could go on and on) is perfection. Easily my top bronzer and one I will repurchase time and time again. Link here from Space NK. Lush Gorilla Fragrance – All Good Things This fragrance is so up my alley. It’s super sophisticated, quite woody, leathery and masculine which I adore. This is part of the new launch of fragrances from Lush and I would highly recommend checking them out. Every single time I have worn this scent Marc has commented on it. They are also very concentrated, so two spritz’s is all you need and they come at a brilliant price. Buy online here for R495. I also spoke about this fragrance in this Lush post.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL BB Cream SPF50+ You have all heard me rave about this on Instagram and I am still absolutely loving this. It’s an spf 50 (YES!) and gives a very sheer coverage, but makes you glow like no other. It’s just a super handy tinted moisturiser for work days when  you aren’t too fussed about coverage but want that little something (plus your added sun protection). My Mum and sister (plus a whole lot of you guys) have started using this and I have had nothing but positive feedback. Only issue here is there is only one shade – buy online here for R240. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation stick – Warm Beige I treated myself to this top-selling foundation stick from Bobbi the other day and have been absolutely loving it. It’s more of a medium to full coverage, so it’s what I reach for if I have a dinner or a special occasion. It applies beautifully and doesn’t look cakey at all. It is pricey, yes, but is well worth it for the finish it gives. The shade match is also perfect for my skin tone. Ah, Bobbi Brown products never really let me down, so am very chuffed I have added this to my collection. Link from Woolies. YSL Touche Eclat – Shade 2 It’s not new, but it sure is a favourite and a product I have not been without for years. It’s, in my mind, the single most iconic YSL beauty product, and for good reason. So many people seem to get this product confused for being a concealer. It’s not. It’s quite the opposite and when you realise this and use it correctly your game will be changed. Forever. It’s a highlighting pen – without the shimmer or glitter. So I swipe a streak of this on my areas I want to accentuate (my brow bone, the bridge of my nose, my inner eye area etc). It’s such a goodie!

Stella McCartney Peony fragrance This has been my day-to-day scent for the past two months, with the aforementioned scent being my evening scent. I have always loved Stella’s scents, and this version is no different. It’s floral and light with the most gorgeous woody undertone (can you spot the trend here). The undertone is what sets this fragrance apart for me, as I have so many feminine, floral scents that I love, but the added woodiness here adds sophistication and something very unique. It’s recently landed in stores – 30ml R745.00, 50ml R1015.00 and 100ml R1375.00. You can purchase it online here.

I’m going to buy that B.B. cream TONIGHT!!! Thank you 🙂

What is your best way to apply the Bobbi Brown foundation? I have been using it more as a concealer to be honest because I am unsure the best way to apply

It's brilliant – enjoy! Bobbi foundation – I tend to put as few streaks onto my skin (I wait for my moisturiser to sink in properly) and then blend this out with a fluffy foundation brush. I have also used hands before but prefer brush (I use RT buffing brush) x

The BB sounds amazing! Is the shade more on the light or medium side? I'm medium and wondering if it would be way too light or if I can get away with it, perhaps warming it up with a bit of bronzer.
