Maaji – my latest obsession

Workout gear, or should we call it ‘active-wear’, is my go to uniform and is something I really have no problem splurging on. There are a few reasons for this, 1 – being that it motivates me and makes exercising that much more enjoyable, 2 – I often run errands before or after exercising so don’t really want to look like a complete site-for-sore eyes (aside from my blood-shot red face) and 3 – I do actually use it and need a variety of active wear items to switch between.

I recently treated myself to two items from the Columbian brand, Maaji. I have been eyeing out the things from this brand for ages now – they are so up my alley! I love bright colours and patterns for my yoga clothing and my swimwear, and that’s exactly what they offer. I popped into one of their pop-up stores before December holidays and picked up the above items – a bikini and some yoga tights.

The brand is pricey, there’s no doubt about that, but the fits, the fabrics and the styles sold me. I can go as far as to say this is the best bikini I have ever owned – the fit is so comfy and so supportive, plus quite a few of their bikinis are reversible which is handy!

I have also got so many compliments on the tights – they are so colourful and the fabric is so breathable. I do heated power yoga and the tights are great for this as don’t absorb much sweat so aren’t drenched afterwards. Sorry – an overshare, but this is something I am always looking for in yoga leggings.

Happy with purchase. I was looking for a longer capri. I have large calves and most capris hit right in the middle of them. These stylish workout clothes were longer. I measured the inseam and they are 22" as advertised. I washed them and hung dry with no issues.
