Social Sharing-Style Dining at Graciales
On Friday eve I was invited to try out the new restaurant at Peddlarsin Constantia called Gacialas. Graciales is all about sharing tapas-style food in a relaxed, vibey atmosphere.
The restaurant launch was a part of the whole re-furbishment of Peddlars that happened about 4 months ago. This saw a whole revamp of the bar area and all the restaurants – with Graciales being launched. I loved the décor and all I kept thinking was “oh my word, southern suburbs has always been in serious need of a place like this!”. The menu is amazing and portion are much larger than a tapas style one would usually expect so after 3 or 4 plates between two of us we were stuffed! We order the following:
Sticky Vietnamese Ribs, Spring Onions – R48
|
Fried Calamari, Harissa Mayo – R55 |
Sticky Pork Belly, Black Bean Chilli Curd – R88 |
Graciales Beef Sliders, Cheese, Pickle – R88 We completely over ordered, but made a plan to stuff down the food as it was that good. I particularly loved the beef tataki and the fried calamari. Oh, that beef tataki is seriously what dreams are made of. I also enjoyed a few of their ‘old style’ cocktails which were all so beautifully presented. The Basil-Melon Daisy for R58 (pic below) was my favourite. I also loved their Pimms which came with a whole bunch of fruit that had been frozen into shape – so pretty! |
I highly recommend Gracialesfor both a fun eve with friends and for events, it’s the perfect space and great vibe. You can book your table here.
