M.A.C SS ’12
Last week I attended M.A.C’s SS ’12 launch at the Old Biscuit Mill, and they really did outdo themselves. I, unfortunately, had to rush in and out because of work, but got a pretty good understanding of the trends coming up – four of which were highlighted.
The trends they spoke of where:
M.A.C Ath-Elite – this being a focus on the strong brow (a look I am loving) and a very fresh, young free-of-heavy-make-up look. Always pro a look like this, and it certainly lends itself to the warmer seasons.
M.A.C Nouv-Eau – this was definitely my best look as it was the most natural and pretty. This look was linked to beautiful florals, light pinks and peaches and ‘blushing lips’. Definitely a great look for bridal make up.
M.A.C Ore-Inspired – this was full of sparkles and autumn-y colours – think gold brown, oranges and copper. Also a beautiful trend, think smokey-ish eyes and bronzed, dewy skin.
M.A.C Neo-n – a fun look that any make up artist/fundi would love to play around with. Think any and everything bright and bold!
Please note these images are one’s that I felt resembled each trend and are not from M.A.C at all. I have always, and will always be a huge fan of M.A.C, I use a huge variety of products, a lot of which are from my days of living in the UK (Shu Uemura, Laura Mercier, Chantecaille and NARS) and locally (Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, YSL etc), however M.A.C has been a firm favourite forever – my staples all seem to come from them and they are the kinds of products that I will continue using forever, so thank you for the invite 🙂
