Issey Miyake L’eau D’Issey
I am always surprised at the power of smell. That in an instant the most vivid memory can be recalled. For this reason I try and use different scents when I holiday, that way I can re-live memories through my perfumes 🙂 try it, it is like a mini-holiday all over again!
I was lucky enough to receive the new Issey Miyake L’eau D’Issey summer inspired “A Voyage to the heart of a lagoon…” fragrance. The packaging is gorgeous, fresh and beautiful, some of my favourite colours! It is one of those bottles that you want to display in the front row of your bathroom! These limited edition fragrances “offer a fresh, luminous and joyful break for the season” amidst the usual refined brand code of white, silver and black.
I had one of those moments with this scent; it brought back such great memories. The perfect day-time scent, while it is light and fresh, it is still noticed and complimented, and even though I have loved wearing it for the past few weeks, I really can’t wait for summer.
I can only imagine it being the perfect scent after a day spent in the sun – the same memory trigger that the smell of Piz Buin sun cream has for me – such happiness! The scent is described as “Sparkling and crisp, the fragrance radiates fresh and delectable top notes of rose and pear water that blossom on floral middle notes of peony and carnation. At the base, a delicate harmony of osmanthus and precious wood enhances the velvety notes of the scent.”
I just love that description!
L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme has similar packaging, and if it smells half as amazing as the women’s version, I’m sold!
