On the 6th of June CHANEL launched their limited edition DANS LA LUMIÈRE DE L’ÉTÉ collection; meaning ‘In the Summer Light’. This collection is all about bright, bronzed and glowey skin, sultry eyes enhanced with an ombre effect of ochres and browns, sun kissed lips of corals and pinks and statement nails in smouldering, spicy shades. Could this collection speak more to my heart?!?

I reviewed three of the items: Healthy Glow Multi-Colour Les Beiges in No 2, the  EMPREINTE DU DÉSERT eyeshadow quad and the LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES lipgloss in shade Tanami.

This has quickly become one of my absolute favourite products. I often find products like this can end up looking muddy on my skin, but this is just the perfect non-orange shade on my skin and goes on beautifully – never causing a muddy, uneven effect. I have been using it to warm up my skintone as I obviously am rather pale at the moment and the shade has been great. The powder is super finely milled and only the best of the best. I guess that’s what I would only expect, as the price tag is high but you certainly get what you are paying for!

This product comes in two shades (no.1 and no. 2) – see below.

EMPREINTE DU DÉSERT Eyeshadow quad – R955

This, ladies, is outstanding. This is the first time I have tried Chanel eye shadows and can now fully understand the hype. The colour pay off, the buttery texture and the longevity of each and every shade in this quad is perfection. I know a few of you have already got your hands on it (after Snapchat reviews and convo’s), so I am sure it will fly off the counters. Do yourself a favour and go and try these shades out in store.

I was unsure at first of how much I would use the Khaki Green colour, but this, combined with the other shades, adds the most amazing dimension to a neutral smokey eye. I have brown eyes, so every shade in this palette works wonders for accentuating the colour and is great for a bronzey-sun-kissed glow – build-able, depending on how dramatic you want your look to be.

This coral gloss applies beautifully to the lips with a subtle hint of colour. It’s not sticky and wears well, without causing product build up. It is the perfect summery shade to finish off a bronzey, summer look with glowey skin. I know this is going to not leave my handbag!

I will most definitely be packing every single one of these products on my summer holiday coming up as I can honestly say that this entire collection is well worth checking out.

That eyeshadow quad is fantastic. It's so buttery and soft and I love the colours (except the green, but I use it to line my lower lashes for a bit of colour). I just prefer muted colours and it's the perfect quad.
