It’s time to #SaySi with Armani | ad

Armani are a brand that I have always maintained really just get it when it comes to fragrance. I remember actually saying this years ago, my first fragrance was from Armani and since that one I moved on to plenty more, all from this beautiful brand as they all had the same thing in common: timeless, understated and classy.

Today I am going to be discussing the Si scents – the newer collection to the brand but one I’m sure you all know pretty well by now. I am really excited to be on board with the #SiToLove campaign where I will be sharing the exciting new film featuring their face of the brand which is still the gorgeous Cate Blanchett and discussing more about what makes you #SaySi. A few weeks back you may have remembered that I went to JHB for the L’oreal press day where loads of exciting new launches were shared with us from the brands under their roof (Armani being one of them). So I am going to let you in on this launch below which comes just in time for Christmas – how super luxurious is this!?

Si Huile de Parfum – their first ever fragrance oil from Si {Launches Oct 2015}

This parfumed oil is as concentrated as you get (and also as fancy as you can get). The oil is a very dry texture, so a teensy bit is needed. Scent wise you can definitely smell that it’s from the same family as Si (yay) but this has more depth to it with quite a sensual darkness to it – super sexy, even though all the Si fragrances are sexy, this one really takes first prize. I also personally picked up less sweetness, and more slightly masculine scents which, to me, is the best thing ever!

It retails for R1395 for 30ml which may seem pricey but an oil is used differently and lasts way longer than a spritz so in that sense it’s definitely not comparable. I will be writing a more in depth review on this soon.

A reminder of the Si family

Even I can get confused between all the scents out there, the different editions and what belongs where, so here is a recap of one of the best fragrance collections from Armani, Si:

Armani Si EDP {2013}

This was the first launch in the family. It was introduced to us with Cate Blanchett as the face (and I love that she has stuck with the Si collection through the whole story). This juice is made up of Blackcurrant (which is what makes it so typically Si to me). It also has floral notes of Freesia, Rose de Mai, Blonde Amber Wood and Patchouli with a dose of vanilla too.

This scent has the signature glass bottle and black cap and being the EDP of the range, it’s concentrated and has fantastic longevity.

Armani Si EDP Intense {2014}

As if the previous EDP didn’t pack enough of a punch, Armani then launched their EDP Intense, which (as the name suggests) is a more intense version of the original. Of all the Si’s, this is definitely my personal favourite and the one I’ve worn the most! I love how the scent settles on the skin and it’s perfect for the evening.

This fragrance was launched a year after the original EDP and came in the black glass bottle – so gorgeous.

Armani Si EDT {2015}

The latest member of the Si family is the EDT and I really just love this one for day time wearing. It also has the same similar notes to the original, but has a few additions that give it a fresh, fruity and lighter scent.

There is the signature top notes of blackcurrant, bergamot, neroli and green pear, middle notes of rose and freesia and finishing off the base notes of patchoili, musk and amber wood.

This scent comes on the dusty pink glass bottle – the best packaging of all!!! R 995 – 50ml R 1395 – 100ml Keep your eyes on the blog for the exciting launch of the new look TVC on Monday, 14th 🙂 *This post was sponsored in collaboration with Armani
