I’m becoming a student again: My Interior Design Course

I am so incredibly excited about becoming a student again, albeit briefly, it is still super-exciting. Especially because it will be anInterior Design course, something that I have been dying to do for ages.

As you know, I have been sharing décor stuff on this blog for a while (in amongst all the beauty banter). I was particularly interested in this when I bought my first little home a while back and wanted to do some re-arranging and decorating.  Unfortunately one tends to lose interest in this a bit when the money runs a bit low or when you get back into the swing of normal life – I have done so much to my apartment, but am now ready for stage two! I am hoping this course will provide me with little tips and tricks that will make it that much easier to do, especially because my flat is a typical Tamboerskloof flat, therefore pretty small, so I want to learn how to make the most of the space I have (on a budget).

The course is 10 weeks long and done through GetSmarter. It starts at the end of October (see all details here, if you keen). It’s all online which makes it really handy for me as I work full-time, so I can do it in the evenings. I’m hoping to share the things I learn with you as I go, so keep an eye out for that.

In the meantime I thought I would share some pics of Amanda’s home, from 100 Layer Cake. I love her use of space and her bursts of colour, isn’t it amazing?!

I would kill for this Jo Malone collection…

There are loads of different short courses – have a look on their site here: getsmarter.co.za/. The one I have chosen is about R9400 for 10 weeks but all details are on the site: getsmarter.co.za/home-interior-design-short-course

    Love this blog.

Good Luck with your interior design. I look forward to seeing your results.

I did a course, many years ago through, Rhodec International. I loved it.
We are never too old to study and learn. I recently learned the craft of upholstery. It's exciting, creative and wonderful to add one's own touch to older pieces of furniture.
