Armani Eau Pour Homme: Review

Armani Eau Pour Homme has recently been re-bottled and given a fresh new look. This old-school fragrance, which has been around since 1984, is really classic and ‘manly’ (for lack of a better word).

I would definitely say that it’s more of a mature scent – very suitable for someone in their mid-thirties and up. The scent is made up of notes like Bergamot, Coriander and Bitter Orange on the top, middle notes like Nutmeg, Neroli and Lavender and base notes of Patchouli (yum), Cedar and Vetiver.

Alongside the re-launch of Armani Eau Pour Homme is Armani Eau de Nuit which is completely new. I actually preferred this one, most probably because it is a younger, fresher scent and something I can relate to more. It has similar notes to the Eau Pour Homme with the same Bergamot on top, Nutmeg in the middle and Cedar in the base, however, some new additions give it a nice zesty twist: the top notes are Bergamot, Cardamom, Pink Pepper, middle notes are Nutmeg, Orris and Basil and finally base notes are Ambrox, Tonka Bean and Rectified Cedar wood.  This scent wears very differently on everyone’s skin (more so than other scents) so be sure to try it on, walk around a bit, and then decide if it suits you. I really liked this on some guys and not at all on others. Armani’s male fragrances have to be up there with some of my all-time favourites, especially Mania!
