Smashbox Love Me range & Primers

I’ve always been a fan of Smashbox cosmetics but actually not tried as many of them as I would have liked to. Last week I got sent the beautiful ‘Love Me’ limited edition range. Amazing.

The colours are literally exactly what I look for in my makeup collection – nude, soft, pretty colours. My two favourites have to be the blush in Poppy Pink (R220) and the lipgloss in Charm Me (R180). I already know I will be repurchasing these when they run out! I have yet to try the lipstick in Love Me (R190) (the most stunning red) but plan on trying it soon as it looks lovely too.

I also had the pleasure of trying their Photo Finish Primer for both the face and under the eyes. I particularly likes the entire face one as 1) it has an spf of 20 and 2) I’m too lazy to put a primer under my eyes! The formula of this primer is such that it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores for visibly softer skin which I certainly felt the effects of. I liked the fact that you can also wear it alone with a tiny bit of concealer and it hydrates and softens the skin while protecting it. It retails for R370 and the Under Eye Primer retails for R320. I am super-keen to get into a good habit of using this one as it actively shows results in reducing dark circles under the eyes and apparently works like a charm!
