Top 5: from Anna-Louise

Todays Top Five is by a very special someone, my dear friend Anna. We have grown up together and spend a lot of time with one another, my go-to friend for that girly time that we all need.

I love Anna’s Top Five – and am itching to try the Argan oil she talks about, where can we buy this? I use Eve Lom’s cleaner, which is similar to Liz Earles, so I agree, a real treat for winter skin!

Anna is also a blogger, where she chats about anything from baking (she is the queen of this!) to fashion and cute quotes, check her blog out here.

1.) Schwarzkopf: Repair Rescue Treatment– I am naturally a brunette but have been highlighting my hair for the past 5 years so to keep my hair looking and feeling healthy I need to use a treatment weekly and this one is perfect if you in a hurry, and that’s why I like it.  I have tried and tested A LOT of treatments, and have hated the ones where you have to leave it in your hair for 20 minutes.  The Schwarzkopf repair treatment is for highlighted damaged hair, and you use it just like a conditioner. It’s quick and easy.

2.) IQ Self Tan: Dermatologist Developed– I was told about this self tan by my Dermatologist in Durban, as he developed the IQ range, and I fell in love with it.  It gives you that natural looking glow, it’s not dark and definitely not orange, nor does it leave you looking streaky! It also has a nice fragrance to it, not like those other self tans that smell dreadful.

3.) Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm: for eye and lip area– This is probably my best and favourite product. It leaves your lips feeling so smooth. It’s one of those products you think you don’t need but once you have tried it, you will use it religiously. Smooth it around your eyes and mouth to fight visible lines.

4.) Liz Earle: Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser- I have fallen head over heels for this British Beauty essential. It’s a rich cream that you massage gently onto your dry skin to remove any grime and make up.  Once you have finished cleansing, you dip your muslin cloth (that comes with it) into hot water, and wring it out to wipe off the cream.  It leaves your skin feeling smooth, soft, fresh and radiant.

5.) Milk-Shake: Argan Oil- again because I highlight my hair, my hair can some times be very dry and Milk-Shake argan oil not only smells so good you want to eat it, but it also leaves your hair feeling softer, shinier and well conditioned.  The idea is to rub a small coin-size amount into your damp, washed hair from scalp to tip and leave it in while you blow dry. At first I didn’t think such a tiny amount would cover all my hair (my hair is thick) but it did.  You don’t notice the difference instantly, but after you have blow dried your hair, your hair looks, smells and feels amazing.  The other plus is the tub lasts forever. It’s amazing how such a tiny amount can make such a difference and leave your hair looking and smelling so damn good!

Thanks An!

Anna got the Liz Earle on the UK, and unfortunately that's only available there. The argan oil is from here though Mark Adrian hair Salon in Cape Town, however could be available at more places. Apparently very cheap too
