Join me in the Kiehl’s #ChangeYourSkin Challenge

So I need to rally my troops together and need your help in testing and trialling some products from one of my favourite brands, Kiehl’s! Yip, I know – not such a tough task!

I am looking for 5 readers to join me in the #ChangeYourSkin challenge where you, with me, will track your skins changes over a 28 day period. We will all be testing the same three best-sellers from Kiehl’s and these will be full-size products:

Midnight Recovery Concentrate – a pioneer product in the facial oil category

Dermatologist Solutions™ Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution – the 1st clear, stabilized dark-spot serum

Dermatologist Solutions™ Hydro-Plumping Retexturing Serum Concentrate  – the 1st serum to address age-related dehydration

What I need from you:

  1. To post weekly on your social media platform telling us about your skin’s changes using the #ChangeYourSkin hashtag and tagging myself and @KiehlsSA. You will need to mail me once a week with a blurb on your skin’s progress (or lack thereof – this is all honest reviews).
  2. 1 Before photo and 1 After photo shared with me to post on the blog – I am very anti the selfie too but we need to suck it up this one time 🙂
  3. You will need to have some skin concern of sorts – I am looking for mixed ethnicities, people with dull skin, uneven skin-tone, signs of ageing etc – basically not someone with picture perfect skin

We need to start our testing by 20 June so in order to apply to be one of my 5 #ChangeYourSkin ladies, please leave me a comment below telling me:

  • Your full name
  • Your skin concern
  • Your e-mail address

I will need your full address once you have been chosen and will email you so we can get your products delivered next week. I will also be doing an exciting in-store event in July where I will need a further 15 readers to join me for an eve of testing, gifts and learning about your skin concerns – more on that later 🙂

My skin concerns are the following: I turned 30 last year and my skin is now starting to look it, I have dry skin but oily forehead, struggling the last few months with pimples, which is never a good look! Lines are appearing and I have dark circles underneath my eyes.

    Hello!

Firstly, I really enjoy Kiehl's products. I've used a lot of them but not the dark spot solution or the hydro-plumping serum, both of which are on my list!

I would like to be a part of this because I will, in two months, officially be in my late twenties, meaning I need to start thinking more seriously about anti-ageing products – I've noticed fine lines around my eyes sneaking up on me, eek! My second concern is pigmentation – I would love a more even skin tone and specifically I have a few pigmented areas on my face like near my left eye (assuming from being in the car).

I would also love to get my husband to do this with me. When I first met him he washed his face with SOAP (horror!) but now he's using proper skincare. However, he burnt badly a few times as a child so there's a lot of TLC needed to look after that. Because of that his skin is not even in tone, plus his t-zone tends to get very dry so he needs super hydrating products for that area.

    Holding thumbs!

Hello Tor. I really want to take part in this for the following reasons. I was lucky enough to have good skin when I was younger and took it completely for granted – I only started using moisturiser a year ago. Now that I've gotten older, I've noticed a change in my skin: I've started getting pimples yet at the same time my skin still feels super dry. I've also started to notice wrinkles starting to set in especially around my forehead area. Would love to take part in this to help change my skin but to also hopefully find a skincare regime that works for me for the future. Thanks! xxx Kate katemcleodcontact[at]gmail.com

Everyone wishes for perfect skin and so do I, because it's the one thing I don't have! So, let's get down to business:

My full name is Kristi Beitz, and I'm 25. I'm Caucasian, but I have a very olive skin though, always have had my whole life!

I actually have a LOT of skin concerns, but the main ones that really bother me are definitely dark sports and scarring from acne/hormonal breakouts every now and then, very uneven skin tone, dry and flaky skin, skin that just looks so dull and has no radiance, a lot of redness but this doesn't bother me as much as some other things, skin that isn't 'smooth', the overall look & feel of my skin, and premature aging (those fine lines and crows feet!), all really bother me. To be honest, I've never had skin that I love and that has been something to smile about, and as the years go on, I feel like my skin concerns become more and more. I've also never found something that has made me go WOW! and keep purchasing. I would LOVE to do the Kiehl's challenge and see my skin transform before my eyes and become the skin that doesn't bother me.

My email addy is kristijbeitz[at]gmail.com and you can definitely count on me for regular updates and *cringe* no makeup selfies (which might be a first for people other than my husband!).

I have dark spots from the sun which is only my fault but the light acne scars were genetic. I tend to frown a lot so that causes fine wrinkles on my forehead. Struggling my entire life with oiliness my skin took a toll for the worst this season and all of a sudden in a question of took weeks BAMMM! I had dry skin, with no knowledge whatsoever on how to treat dry skin and only being trained to work with oily skin I am so confused as to what to do and how to approach it is it took years of testing so I could cope with my oily skin.

Well where do I start with my skin concerns…wow. I haven't been able to find a product that works for my skin as of yet. I guess you could say I have a combination skin type. My T-zone gives me a lot of problems. Lately I've gotten 'blind' pimples – especially by my temples. They are big and very painful. In the past I made the mistake of picking at my pimples so not only do I have these terrible blind pimples in the T-zone, I now also have dark spots from the previous pimples that I scratched and picked at.
And because my T-zone is oily, I haven't been able to moisturize properly out of fear of making my skin more oily, which has led to the early formation of wrinkles now too. So around my mouth, eyes and forehead you can now see lines. As an almost 25 year old (my birthday is in a month) I can honestly say that I don't actually want to look my age and I regret that I haven't been able to take better care of my skin. I'm really hoping a product like this will work for me in all three my problem areas. If it does, then Khiel will have a life-long supporter and client. By the way, I'm half Portuguese 🙂

    Hi Tori…

My skin concern is the very scientifically named "2 pregnancies and babies in 18 months with a combination of very little sleep and even less time to take care of myself". I've always loved my skin – plump and (generally!) wrinkle free – but things have changed, and not for the best. Fine lines have crept in (some not so fine!), there is residual pigmentation from pregnancy (a side effect they fail to mention!), and everything is looking just a little blah. BUT, I know that with a little #SerumExpert love I can restore it to its former glory. And I'll happily share the journey on Social Media for new moms also looking to get back into their groove.

I definitely have the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes and forehead which I would love to get rid of and maybe regain some of that youth bouncy plumpness I used to have (asking a lot I know). I also suffer from quite a dehydrated skin and being winter currently is making it worse, look like I am part alligator today due to the flakiness of my forehead and nose. Then finally I have a bit of an uneven skin as well as my nose area is always quite pink compared to the rest of my face. I really hope you pick me to be your guinea pig 😉

I would love to be a participant in the Kiehl’s #ChangeYourSkin 28-Day Challenge. To have all the Kiss, Blush and Tell blog readers put the spotlight on me would really be extreme and throw me totally out of my comfort zone, but hoo hoo, I am up for this challenge to have lasting results in changing the look and feel of my skin.

My name is Joles Lazarus. I am 33 years. I have a combination skin of dry cheeks and a shiny forehead at times, especially in summer. I struggle in the winter months, even though living in Durban, the wind does dry my skin a bit. I would love to be part of the #ChangeYourSkin experiment and really change the condition of my skin with the world’s renown #SerumExperts, Kiehl’s.

I am up, for openly sharing with the world, my ordeal of imperfect skin and my skin concern. I had flawless, baby like skin all my life until I hit my teens. We were the biggest fans of all Johnson’s and Johnson’s baby products. Puberty arrived and all went well, but when I turned 15, I decided that I wanted to be all grown up and tried out for the first time the routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. That was my biggest mistake. I longed for “adultness” and yet now I long for “childlikeness”. Within 2 days, my skin “exploded” with acne. The so called “consultant” who sold the products to me, “wisely” stated that my skin was merely adjusting and to keep on with the new daily routine. Sad to say, my skin has never been the same. Since that first day, of “being all grown up”, something triggered my beautifully flawless skin in a negative way. Since 16, my whole beauty regime life has been trying out various products from limitless brands including top class beauty houses, to vitamins, to dermatologist visits, to a series of intense medication (Roacuttane). I listened to anybody and everybody about what product to try out to resolve my skin issues “once and for all” and yet nothing has worked. To date, I am so certain that I have spent hundreds upon thousands of rand over products, some hardly used. I have taken vitamins and oral supplements to even assist me from the inside out. Needless to say, the years have rolled by and some 15 years + later, I am still in search fulfilling the dream of having beautifully radiant and glowing skin once again.
I’d love to try out Kiehl’s in order to help me with the following: pigmentation, uneven skin tone, aging, blemishes
I am thrilled to give this world renowned product a try, to have healthier, radiant & younger-looking skin again. Bring back my youth, restore and strengthen my skin barrier. Help me defy my age. Bring back my youthful, cherub and flawless skin. I am certain the Midnight Recovery Concentrate will do its magic at the stroke of 12 midnight and continue to work all night to replenish my skin with moisture to ensure younger-looking skin by morning. Oh boy, I am in much need off the Dermatologist Solutions Hydro-Plumping Retexturising Serum Concentrate in all its extraordinariness will penetrate deep through surface layers and utilize next generation serum-to-liquid technology™ to intensively hydrate skin’s deepest surface layers. I cannot wait for all of these wonders to work on me, me, me!!! My face, my skin will be the work of incredible technology and lab research!
This is going to change my life, my world, in such a dramatic way! I want to testify to this that Kiehl's works, and works amazingly well. I want to walk out the door without any makeup and just a touch of lip gloss and be proud to be ME without that self-conscious, deep down, gut feeling of uneasiness and feeling exposed. My shyness, my self-confidence, my outlook of life and my own impression of me is going to sky rocket!
Thank you Kiehl’s for this opportunity to share my life. Make me your girl! @jo2311 ♥ lazarina001[at]gmail.com
