Travel Kits for Holiday Packing

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to holidaying; my luggage weight issue boils down to my cosmetics. I take way too many ‘what-if’ products and the desperate part is I generally end up using most of them. So that radiance mask, detox mask and 2 different serums generally will come in use even when I am away 🙂

My skin is always so sapped of moisture post a long-haul flight and when my skin is feeling drab then it generally makes me feel rather drab, which is not what anyone wants on holiday. As someone who loves beauty I am all for keeping things simple but still want to feel pretty and indulged as I am on holiday, after all. These are some of my favourite travel kits to make your life (and packing) easier. Happy travelling!

Optiphi Classic Travel Kit – R595

I love Optiphi products for how active they are (and for being a local brand!). This travel kit covers all of your bases from your cleanser that removes every ounce of make up to your super hydrating face mask that you can pop on when on the plane.

Filorga Time Filler Travel Kit – R550

Oh Filorga, I adore their products and this is also a rather comprehensive kit. This is great for on-the-go when you are looking for fast, easy-to-use product that gets the job done (and done well!). The kit contains their Micellar water which is great for a quick swipe over the skin to remove the days travel dirt. Their famous Time Filler moisturiser is also in here, I went through one of these pots and just loved the results it gave my skin. Their eye cream version of this is also included and, the best part, there is their Meso mask which targets wrinkles and helps brighten the skin – perfect post-flight pick-me-up!

Davines Essential Travel Kit

This is obviously not a skincare kit but one for the hair. Hair products are generally so large and have to be decanted, so I love this little Davines kit. These products smell heavenly and are perfect for a 2/3 week trip. It has everything from your shampoo and conditioner to a treatment product OL All In 1 Milk and their famous OL Oil to calm frizziness. No more leaking shampoo and conditioners!

Aēsop Jet Set Kit

Aēsop have a variety of kits but my favourite is their Jet Set kit for hair and body as it was one of the only kits I found that cover these two fairly simple categories. Having this kit will mean the two areas (body and hair) are sorted and this eliminates all your bulky body creams and large shampoos and conditioners. Mio Strong is The New Skinny Travel Kit – R655

I love anything from Mio, seriously, their product just get to work and get you targeted results. Plus they are such a luxury to use! This kit is all focused on firming. I have a full size of the body Buff and it’s so handy, especially for self-tan removal (which you may need help with mid-holiday) as I will be getting a Vita Liberata tan done beforehand. The Body Oil and Body Butter go a long way and a very active and hydrating – very much needed when braving this winter skin!

Kiehl’s Travel Mini’s

How could we have a mini’s post without trusty Kiehl’s. Random note, but I was thinking the other day: this brand really is one of my all-time favourites. I mean, just their Midnight Recovery alone is unreal! For those who don’t know, Kiehl’s is the place to go if you are wanting to pick up any mini’s; they have kits but you can also mix and match which is so handy. I also found that their sizes are more substantial (i.e. 75 ml cleanser) so great even to share with your partner. I also got their mini hair products from their Olive Fruit Oil range, the perfect size! Oh, and if you are after trying a few products then ask their store staff for samples, they are great with that and I can promise you, you will end up buying the full size!

Dermalogica Normal/Dry Skin Kit – R690

This kit really covers your basics skin concerns well and also a great uni-sex kit that you can share with your partner when travelling. It has some of their top sellers and the containers are really handy sizes – perfect to refill with your normal sizes for all your travels! I love this kit from Evo. You all know how much I rave about this Aussie brand, they just get it spot on. This kit contains their 2 hair products and their two body products, perfect for a 2 week getaway and also so affordable!
