Forever 21 Arrives in Cape Town

On Wednesday night I was invited to have a snoop (and shop) around the brand new Forever 21 store that is opening in Canal Walk. This is the first ever Forever 21 store to hit South African stores, and I am sure there are plans to roll out more, however, there is no confirmation of this yet.

The store is where the old Mr Price used to be at Canal Walk, so is in a massive space. For those, like me, who find Canal Walk one big, scary maze – you will find it easily by parking at entrance 2, near Mugg & Bean.

My plan was to spend no more than 30 minutes in the store as I had a dinner to get to, but that 30 minutes turned into a full hour of me walking around in circles – there is SO much on offer, the variety really is quite insane! For example there must have been about 35 different scarf options in every beautiful pattern imaginable, the accessories also take up a huge section and the store is divided into different ‘looks’ which makes it easier to shop. There is also a ‘body’ section with great yoga-like pants and sports bra’s in bright colours and the lingerie/pajama section has such gorgeous options.

The prices are similar to Cotton On prices and the quality also seems similar, definitely much better than Mr Price quality. The great part is that even though some prices are fairly standard (like R420 for a chunky knit), you can still pick up amazing costume jewellery for a bargain. It is literally gift/buying heaven with the cutest toiletry bags, headbands, patterned hair accessories and so much more. The store officially opens tomorrow morning with gifts for those who are there to shop bright and early 🙂
