The Dream Team for summer skin

Right, so my blog is recovered, just! You know how they say ‘when it rains, it pours’, well that’s how my week has been so, to be honest, my blog domain suspiciously disappearing and being impossible to buy back has been one of many things in amongst a week full of loads of work, random home chores etc etc.

Anyway, I am back to Blogspot and all the data is there and right now, that’s all that matters.

In more exciting news, I have found a beauty combo that is completely bowling me over right now, especially in time for summer – yay! It’s the much-spoken-about Lancôme DreamTone. For those who don’t know, in a nutshell this is a new product from Lancôme and is a serum that can be applied day and night after your cleansing routine. It comes in three different options for three different skin types and ultimately aims to lighten and brighten hyperpigmentation. The three formulas are:

#1 (for fair skin that burns easily) – targets redness

#2 (for medium skin tones that tan easily) – targets sallow skin and greyness

#3 (for dark skins) – targets acne and blemish marks

I got sent number one which was probably wrong for my skin, I think 2 would have been better as I don’t have any redness, but anyway.

I have been using this serum for three weeks now and, aside from results, I love using it – the texture is divine – nothing too oily and greasy, actually feels quite matte in a way. Then the smell is also just heavenly, a good skincare product that smells great is my best – it makes it so much more luxurious to use!

And now onto the results – the product is said to ‘revolutionise’ skin tone by reducing dark spots by 66 per cent in just four weeks. The DreamTone is said to give you ‘ground-breaking results’. In my opinion I can honestly say that I have seen results. I don’t suffer from terrible pigmentation, but certainly have the odd dark spot that needs concealing. This has made my skin so much more ‘even’, for lack of a better word. They say that you won’t need make-up when leaving the house, and I can honestly vouch for this. Well, when I say no make-up I mean a good BB/CC or bronzing cream will be all you will need. It’s incredible stuff!

That brings me to this beauties from Stila. They have been all I have been using lately thanks to Lancome’s DreamTone. They conceal just the right amount and give my skin that summer radiant glow. I adore these and can honestly say each and every one of them is great in their own way!

I also like skincare products that have a scent to them, it just makes it so much more enjoyable for me.

I'm tempted to try one of the Stila balms / creams – which one gives the most coverage out of those 3?

Most probably the CC cream, although I love the Bronzing balm the most (not for coverage but for glow). It's great to put a teensy bit on as a primer. A little goes a long wat
