Elizabeth Arden’s new goodies: Green Tea & Honeysuckle EDT and their BB Cream

Elizabeth Arden are well worth keeping an eye on of late. Personally, I used to think the brand was a bit fuddy-duddy and never gave the fragrances a second glance, however, in the past for years they have been doing some really innovative, exciting work. I have raved about their unreal Visible Difference skincare line which I still use daily – it is seriously amazing stuff. Anyway, below are two new launches that I want to share with you:

I have to start with the BB cream first – I’m dying to tell you all about this: Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Multi-Targeted BB Cream

Okay, I know I am a stuck record but I am a tinted moisturiser junkie and these BB creams are pretty much just a super-version of that. I am not trying to underplay them, but essentially that is how I see them and I think they are very much a necessity in most ladies toiletry bags as your day-to-day base for your make-up – gone are the days of your double-thick foundation – urgh! I got this in shade medium which was perfect for my skin. I actually found the coverage really good (more than my usual BB cream I was using). The protection factor is the biggest plus, especially this one with an spf of 30! It also has active ingredients to help treat the skin by lightening and brightening it so great for pigmentation which most of us suffer from. It also assists with moisture and collagen in the skin so you really are getting all sorts of great benefits. It costs R290 and is a pretty tiny tube of 34g but a little goes a long way so it’s fine – it comes in three shades called Vanilla (light), Beige (medium) and Spice (dark). On shelves now. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea & Honeysuckle EDT

This scent is great for your pre-summer mood as it will take you right to that feeling of being on the beach and enjoying long, warm days. The scent is really young and fresh which excited me – it’s also light and not too over-powering – something that I can invisage myself wearing after a long dfay on the beach where you have that slight tingle from a day of hot sun – my best feeling (sorry, but it’s true).

The top notes are Sparkling lemon, Tangerine, Boysenberry Blossom, Green Tea Vapors with middle notes of Wild Honeysuckle, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Tunisian Neroli, Green Tea Leaves and base notes of Soft Musk, Sweet Summer Peach, Nectar Accord, Ambrette Seed and White Birch – how inviting does that sounds. Do yourself a favour and go and spritz some on yourself.

In stores now – R315 (100 ml) and R215 (50 ml).

I have an Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara in a sample size which I am going to miss so much once it's empty. I've also skipped their displays since their stuff always seems like something my granny would have liked, but I can seriously vouch for the mascara at least!

Hi Tori, Thanks for the review. I am definitely going to try this BB creme. There is a lot going on with BB and CC cremes, and with so many products in the market, its hard to choose. Even I hate using foundation on my skin as I don't have a very problematic skin. Can you please suggest a good tinted moisturizer?

Hi Piyusha. It is all very confusing, I agree. So much choice out there! To be honest a tinted moisturiser and a BB cream are the same thing – just get one of them – you don't need both. Go and try this one out, else MAC have launched a BB crm that I love the texture of. Hope that helps x
