Bobbi Brown – Summer Launches

As I’ve mentioned before, this is an exciting time of year to be a blogger. I love all the beautiful launches that come with it and BobbiBrown always get it particularly right.

They have some beautiful new products aimed at the Christmas season and then some basic line products that are launching and will stay on shelves. I’m going to touch on the one’s that I tried and particularly interested me.

I was treated to the Rich Chocolate Collection palette, the Limited Edition Pale Pink lipsgloss R260) and the Smokey Eye Mascara.

 Limited Edition Rich Chocolate Palette (R725)

Could there be a better eye-shadow combination?? Not in my mind. The colours are just too perfect and beautiful for both a day look and a night look – so great to pack for a weekend away. It is pricey though, as Bobbi products are, but if it’s iun your price range then go for it – it will be one of those gems that will last you years.

The below palette is an old one that I was treated to and have only really fallen in love with of late – it’s amazing. For both eyes and brows – great for the no-mascara look that I am leaning towards lately.

Smokey Eye Mascara (R350)

I was called up to be the guinea-pig for them to try this mascara on, and wow it really did make an impact. The difference with this as opposed to other volume-focused mascaras is that it steers clear of clumping (which can lead to flaking) but rather coats the individual lashes with the various waxes and oils. The pigment in this product is stunning and perfect for your night-out smokey eye. This range also launches with a Smokey-Eye Kajal Liner which I am dying to try. It smudges well and helps you to create a smokey eye in no time at all – and makes it seriously easy – trust me, even I could do it and I’m no make-up artist. Launches 14 October.

Limited Edition Bobbi & Katie Palette

Lastly, I have to tell you about the Bobbi & Katie Palette – ah I need this for Christmas! As the name suggests this is a collaboration between the face of BB, Katie Holms and Bobbi herself. It comes in a book-like casing. It is so easy to keep in your handbag and contains an interior mirror, eight eye-shadows, two pot rouges (my best part) and one mini eye pencil. It retails at R1025 and is in store as we speak (having launched on 9 September). How stunning?
