More news from Moroccanoil
I got sent these two new products by Moroccanoil a few weeks ago and have been trialing them over the last few weeks, these are my thoughts on both products:
Moroccanoil Luminous Hair Spray
I chose this product as, firstly, I really like the name and, secondly, I have been on the lookout for a good hair spray that I can use when doing my high bun (which I have been wearing often). I wanted something that I could use to tame fly-away bits of hair without making me look like I had greasy gel in my hair. That whole ‘wet-look’ really doesn’t go down well with me. I wanted something like this.
I had read reviews online and watched YouTube tutorials on girls using this wonder product so really wanted to give it a try. I just love this range of products so already trust what they are selling me (I already use the Moroccan Oil Glimmer Shine Spray as well as their original Argan oil (see my review on that here)– LOVE!
The base ingredient of all the products in this range is the amazing Argan Oil, which this hairspray has in it too. The part that sold me was the “long-lasting, flexible hold, without leaving a sticky residue” – obviously the Argan oil works its usual miracles and also helps smooth out the hair, while adding shine. This makes your hair look amazing while keeping the whole au-natrural look going. This product also smells rather heavenly – think a delicious caramel/vanilla/amazing hair salon smell. I will most definitely be re-purchasing this one. RRP – R280.
Curl Defining Cream
This product is not the perfect product for my hair type as it is for naturally wavy/curly hair, but I gave it a try as wanted something that would enhance my naturally (and very slight) wave that I have when my hair is left to dry naturally.
This product also smells heavenly – as all Moroccanoil products do thanks to the Argan oil. On the bottle it promises to control frizz, enhance and condition curls, provide optimal hold, build body and texture and finally soften and provide shine to hair.
I have loved using this product as a leave-in conditioner as (for my non-curly hair) it works really well in smoothing out fly-away bits, adding volume to my hair while keeping my curls. I think the last point there is the most important factor to me as so many smoothing/glossing products that I already own and love are great but I lose my curl when using them. This one really is great and light on my waves. Helping me to achieve this kind of look (if only….) RRP R380.
I really just want to collect this entire range – I have not tried the masks or shampoos and conditioners, so can’t comment on those, but the oils and the above treatment products really are like no other I have tried!
Please post a DIY on the high bun!

I will – definitely want to do this – I am still trying to perfect it though 🙂
