Little places with little things

I went on a little mission the other day. I love nothing more than finding strange little shops that are hidden away. Especially ones that sell gift wrapping things, jewellery and just odds and ends in general.

Haas Collective (essentially an art gallery) has potential to be one of these. I popped in on Thursday last week and liked what I saw. It’s located in beautiful Bo-Kaap – with the cobbled streets and multi coloured homes you can’t really go wrong there –bar parking! The shop is on the corner of Rose street (a main road in Bo- Kaap) and is olive green with their white signage, it can’t be missed.

The upper section of Haas, which has been open a while now, is the shop area where there is a very clean, pristine feel. Set out out beautifully. You can find all sorts of things from beautiful ornaments – LOVE, to vintage books, gorgeous coffee table books, bowls, vintage cutlery, brooches and of course loads of art. Really anything. The price’s are quite high, however still affordable, depending what you looking for. It is a very specific taste though, so you will either want it all, or nothing.

The bottom section (by that I mean 2 stairs down) is the cafeteria area and is done beautifully. I has a sandwich and a juice here, it was too hot for coffee. It was lacking in a vibe, besides the hot, hot, hot men behind the coffee bar. The sandwich was on ciabatta and simple but delicious.

If you in the area pop in. It’s lovely.
