The Kitchen – amazing!!!

There is no better feeling than finding a hidden gem, especially one that serves incredibly delicious food. A few of their dishes I tried was the walnut, celery and apple quinoi salad, juicy chicken grilled to perfection (I never quite mastered the art of doing this at home!!!) and salsa-like salads with coriander, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and chilli… and wait it gets better – their coffee is to-die-for. Cinnamon is one way to round of a perfect cappuccino for me, and they tick that box too!

I’m sure you wanting me to get to the point, so this little piece of heaven is called The Kitchen. Hidden in the heart of Woodstock, it truly is worth making a mission for and is constantly buzzing with people from all walks of life! The lovely owner Karen Dudley couldn’t have been friendlier, making it a really cosy, homely environment.

If you are a true Capetonian you will definitely be familiar with their irresistibly succulent chicken rolls at the Biscuit Mill – well these are from The Kitchen so that just gives you an idea of the kind of food we talking about 🙂

The chocolate brownies also look amazing, as well as the cakes and pastries so I’ll definitely have to give these a try too. I tried the chocolate brownie cheesecake and nearly died! Check out Karen’s website for info on the Kitchen and her catering company and definitely pay them a visit soon!!!
