Bread & Wine
I thought this, amidst all the beauty chit-chat on Kiss, Blush and Tell, deserved a mention, because when I find a great restaurant, i get really excited – and I count down the days until I can go back. Just about!
On a beautiful Sunday two weeks ago myself and friends went to Bread & Wine in Franschoek. I have been wanting to go for ages and heard good reports. As a part of the Moreson Estate, the wine really is a treat, and don’t get me started on the food!
I opted for the vegetarian dish wish was a white truffle risotto – out of this world! After eight bottles of wine (between 4 of us!!!) we quite clearly enjoyed the wine – one of the best I’ve ever had! Ever! The best part about Bread & Wine is that it wasn’t exorbitantly expensive like some other fancy-shmancy wine farms – it really was worth every cent, and I will be back!
That platter is soooo divine. Lol @ 8 bottles of wine, sounds like a good lunch to me.
bread and wine is definitely a top deli and a la carte restaurant of south africa. and on top of that, their staff members are fantastic. to me, when you find the same people over, and over, and over again, is a sign of a great business!!! and i love tina, the manageress… therefore, this is the only place in franschoek that stocks the wild olive african artisan apothecary products!!!
