Karin is a jewellery designer who studied in Stellenbosch before establishing her range called Dear Rae.

“I look to create jewellery that celebrates the preciousness of the everyday. I often use processes of rearranging, reproducing and reconstructing, to replace the functional value of an everyday object with aesthetical beauty. I enjoy focusing on detail and patterns, I look to leave an element of surprise in my work. “
