Winter Skin and Clothes…. Again!

I have not written on here in ages as been settling down in South Africa. Great being back and loving beautiful Cape Town 🙂

So since I got back my skin literally broke out, not sure if it was the change in humidity or what. I think it was just the heat – sweat with make up is never a good combo really! So decided I had to literally change my routine – from all my nourishing creams, serums etc in London that my skin soaked up completely! So out with the Eve Lom cleanser that was clogging up my skin – I stocked up on this when I left London as I thought it was one of those cult products I couldnt live without but its now one of those products I never reach for. I replaced this with the Dermalogica’s Special cleansing Gel that has been brilliant! Been using it for about 4 months now and its been great! So easy to use and takes off every stitch of make up too! It does cost R600 for the large cleanser but I think its worth it cos it lasts forever and you need such a tiny bit each time. One negative is travelling with this massive bottle that is hard to close but getting the travel size one is ideal for decanting.

In terms of my day creams, my skin is still quite dry so been using Elemis’s Pro-Collagen Marine Day Cream – not sure on the price of this – i would guess around R700 – but its so amazing, smells fresh and clean and absorbs very well into the skin. Been using richer serums and Dr Sebagh’s Extreme High Maintenance Anti-Aging Cream at night still which helps keep my skin hydrated.

Eye creams wise I have been really slack – stopped using Natura Bisse Diamond Eye Cream – probably cos I know I could never afford to buy a new one so cherishing every drop and moved onto Natura Bisse’s Sensitive Eye Gel that is way more cooling and calming.

I’d definitely say that my best product this year has been Eve Lom’s recue mask and Dynaspot. The rescue mask (a clay ant-bacterial mask that exfoliates) and Dynaspot is a anti bacterial tea-tree based pimple cream.

In terms of clothes I am back on a student budget so not too exciting but because we heading into winter.I’m still loving all my winter coats, scarves and boots. Here a few things I would like this winter…
