Clarins Garden Escape Collection
Clarins are hitting the nail on the head, again. I was particularly excited about this launch as I had ear-marked a few new products from the collection that I had to get my hands on; namely the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil and the Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector. The range is so soft and girly made up of beautiful pastels and balmy formula’s.
The Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil (below – R250) really did live up to my expectations, actually it exceeded them. I was expecting something oily, slippery and overly shiny but was excited about the new concept seen as oils are all the craze. This, however, is quite a balmy-oil consistency which leaves the lips feeling nourished with a beautiful gloss – nothing oil about it at all (in a good way). The applicator is seriously great – it actually makes applying it quite addictive and once the product is on the lips it stays in place, feels super-nourishing and adds a hint of colour, which I love. I tried the Raspberry one (there is also a natural one) but I say go for this, the colour is subtle but pretty. Oh, and it smells good enough to eat. Get in line for this one!

Then, expanding on the already super-popular Instant Light Lip Perfectors (R250), the balm version has been launched. I am pretty sure you have all tried these at some stage and are therefore huge fans, so depending on what sort of ‘feel’ you like on your lips this may be a better option if you are not a gloss sort of gal. I love these balms, they feel great on the lips without looking like you have too much product on. They also come in an array of beautiful shades with a subtle, pretty colour pay-off.
Lastly, their beautiful 6 shade eye palette (R550) was also launched. The shadows are soft and buttery and blend well. Shade-wise I am really enjoying the taupe and the pearly colours for highlighting. To be honest, I haven’t experimented too much with the dark pink and dark green as these aren’t generally my kind of colours but may need to push my boundaries a bit 🙂 (I really am such a bore when it comes to make-up).
And, on a side note, I know you already know this, but I am onto bottle number three of the Clarins Double Serum. I also know many of you have tried it and fallen in love. If you are needing that little hydration injection this winter, this one is for you. I wrote about it in my Winter Skin Dilemma’spost if you need more persuading.
I am on my second Dbl serum thanks to you – I love it for day & night – skin is so much better since. Thnx!
