Birdy
I got sent this CD last week from Warner Music, and you all have to give it a listen asap.
When I made a collegues of mine listen the first thing she said was, “this person must have read your blog and known what kind of music you like!” This girl is seriously amazing – meet Birdy.
When reading up on Birdy, I found out that she is all of 15 years old and was given the nickname Birdy because she used to open her mouth so wide when she was being fed as a baby. She first became famous when she uploaded the YouTube video of her version of Bon Iver’s Skinny Love, and this has become a firm favourite for me (see video below with over 17,5 million views!)
Go grab her CD as soon as you can, the rest of the tracks are as beautiful – let me know your thoughts 🙂
