Let’s look at some newness from CHANEL

I always start every Chanel post exclaiming how much I adore everything this brand does, but it just is so darn luxourious and beautiful. I thought I would share some newness that you can expect to see in stores.

LE VOLUME RÉVOLUTION MASCARA – R635

Let’s start with the most innovative launch. This isn’t just any mascara, it’s in fact a collaboration between CHANEL and a 3D factory company. Yup, this may sound odd, but the reason for this is that the wand is 3D printed. HOW INSANE!? This isn’t a replacement for the Chanel Volume mascara we all know and love, it’s just a more extreme version with different innovation. My thoughts? I think it’s beautiful! It’s clump-free and adds mega-volume (as the name suggests). I also adore the packaging – a brushed-metal-like effect on a all black tube, with the subtle CHANEL branding.

EYES COLLECTION 2018

Secondly, there are some new launches in the new EYES COLLECTION. I’m going to speak to the ones I have to try.

LA BASE OMBRES A PAUPIÈRES – R565

CHANEL have launch an eye-shadow primer which is a tough one for me to review as my eyeshadow generally stays in place. I guess this is because my lids aren’t oily at all. I did, however, put it to the test for all of last week and I can note two things: my eye-shadow pigmentation was definitely slightly enhanced. They shades just looked that much more bold which I liked. I also noted how smooth the application was of my shadow. This was a real game changer for me as there was zero dragging or pulling, blending was just easier. Maybe I’ve been missing out all this time!?

STYLO OMBRE ET CONTOUR – R560.00

These are essentially eye-shadows in a pencil format, which makes them super fool-proof to apply. There are four shades here: Nude Eclat (pictured), Rouge Noir (pictured), Electric Brown and Bleu Nuit. The formula is seriously buttery and applies like a dream; again no dragging and packed with buttery pigment that dries down well. This product is pretty versatile, as lends itself to being used as a kohl, and eyeliner as well as a shadow. I’ve got my eye on the Electric Brown!

ROUGE ALLURE 2018: GENERATION MATTE

Last but not least, my favourite new products to hit counters. There are two different variants here, both exciting in their own way.

ROUGE ALLURE VELVET EXTRÊME – R615

You all know I love a matte lipstick. Nothing too overly matte, and this is why I love this one. It’s matte, but more velvety than that hydration-sapping matte. The shade I got is what has excited me most. This is the one I exclaimed may be my wedding lipstick in my Instagram Live 🙂 It’s called Modern – do yourself a favour and check this out. There are six other shades.

ROUGE ALLURE LIQUID POWDER – R615

This is a completely new launch and nothing I have EVER seen before. It’s a powder-based matte liquid lip colour – it applies and literally feels like air on your lips. It’s so light and undetectable (fab if you aren’t good with lipstick). The products gives you the ultimate soft wash of colour that looks blurred. There is also a light-transparent oil which ensures lips aren’t dried out. You guys have to go and try a tester to understand how interesting these are. There are also 6 shades here.
